Getting Your Ohio Permit and License
In the State of Ohio, you can take online drivers Ed if you are at least 15 years, 5 months old and under the age of 19. Once you have finished the first 2 hours of our course, we will send you a certificate of enrollment which you need in order to enroll with an in-car driving school.
Once you’ve completed our entire Ohio online driver education course, we will mail your certificate of completion, which you must have before scheduling your permit test at the BMV. Once you pass the vision and written exams, the BMV will issue you an official Temporary Instruction Permit Identification Card.
Complete 8 hours of behind-the-wheel training with your chosen driving school, plus 50 additional hours (10 at night) of practice driving with a parent or legal guardian. You must practice driving for at least 6 months and present your certificate of completion from our online driver education course in order to take the BMV driving test. Once you pass the driving test, you will get your Ohio driver’s license!
